Durban II - Another Gangbanging of Israel
BackThe first preparatory meeting leading to the 2009 UN World Conference against Racism will take place at the UN's offices in Geneva next week and is already being deemed a "second Durban." The 2009 conference, whose venue has yet to be decided, will be a follow-up to the 2001 UN anti-racism conference held in Durban, South Africa, which focused on Israel and culminated in resolutions calling Israel an "apartheid state" and equating Zionism with racism. The US and Israel pulled their delegations from the conference; Australia and Canada accused it of "hypocrisy." Revisiting the trauma of the Durban conference "The anti-racism meeting in Geneva is shaping up to be a wolf in sheep's clothing," said Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch, a watchdog NGO based in the city. "Every indicator is that the sequel to Durban will mimic both the format and script of the 2001 conference, using the noble language of anti-racism as a cover to promote hatred of the West and anti-Semitic, anti-Israel propaganda. With the Islamic states also planning to add new accusations against the West under the claim of 'religious defamation,' this is a fiasco in the making." The preparatory meeting, which runs from August 27-31, will be chaired by Libya and include representatives of Argentina, Armenia, Belgium, Brazil, Cameroon, Chile, Croatia, Cuba, Estonia, Greece, India, Indonesia, Iran, Libya, Pakistan, Norway, Russia, Senegal, South Africa and Turkey. Those countries make up the bureau, the committee that will decide on the modalities and objectives of the 2009 conference. Brasilia and New York are rumored as possible venues, although Libya and South Africa, whose Foreign Ministry is a major player in the process, are also seeking to host the conference. "The composition of the preparatory committee including Iran and Libya, meeting for the reenactment of the infamous Durban conference, suggests that nothing has been learned since 2001," said Prof. Gerald Steinberg, executive director of NGO Monitor. "Once again, the NGO network that hijacked Durban 2001 - funded by the Ford Foundation and European government aid programs - is preparing to play a key role in using this conference for the demonization of democracies and deligitimization of Israel."

Is there any way Israel can safely opt out of the UN, or would that be political suicide? Seriously, Israel deserves better than to be actively demeaned by anti-semitic Arabs and Muslims, as well as leftist wacko liberal governments, and shall we forget the rest of the 99% of the oppressed world.
ISRAEL DESERVES BETTER!
Cuban delegate: "Hezbollah is also just everyday people fighting."
Thanks Cuba for that!

"Libya is the chair" ---> that says enough. The UN is a SHAM !!!
It has become a country club for the third world, to quote another youtuber and it is a hijacked shit organization run by the worst nations on the planet.
Furthermore, we can thank the scumbag anti-semitic delegates from Western Europe who happily back the Arab League and the OIC (organiz. of Islamic countries).
I wonder which nation allows Druze, Christians, Bahai'is, Arabs, & homosexuals to live equally under one roof!

Excellent video! I can't even look at the UN without grimacing anymore. "Human rights" groups in the UN, are lead by people who've had some of the worst records for such violations. Watching the review conferences was sickening! The NGOs were the only ones cut off!
Oh, and to the above. That is so typical, when faced with evidence. Deny, deny, deny. The president of Iran has, time and time again, called for the annihlation of Israel. And yes, he denys the holocaust ever happening. Hypocrites.

For better starters, yes the leader of Iran most certainly has called on the destruction of Israel. In fact he has done so on numerous ocassions. Admadinejad is a religious nut job of the highest order. Even high for muslim nut jobs!! He has publicly stated he wants to destroy israel and kill all the jews.
durbansouthafrica (Thursday 24th of April 2008 04:42:40 AM)
No, he has not. The only time he has even come remotely close to saying anything of the sort was when he said the "regime occupying Israel should vanish from the page of history". Which was not a call for genocide or the killing of anybody, but merely an idealogical statement about zionism being gutted from the world.
butch33901 (Thursday 24th of April 2008 06:01:37 AM)
You are simply wrong. Admadinejad has repeatedly through the years stated that Israel should be "wiped off the face of the earth". A simple internet search will disclose the numerous times he has said this.
Admadinejad is a religious wacko with short mans complex. More evidence of the culture of hatred and racism which is islam and which is taught to its followers from cradle to grave. Heck, not only does admaninejad deny the holocaust now he is denying the twin towers of 9-11..!!! He's nuts!

Yes, clearly threatening to destroy the history of the Jewish state has nothing to do with Genocide. Secondly, it wasn't some Western news source that reported the "wipe from the map" comment, it was an Iranian news source. Stop defending racists and human rights offenders.
durbansouthafrica (Friday 13th of June 2008 01:23:00 PM)
If I wanted to defend racists and human rights offenders, I'd start with the chief criminal in those respects: George Walker Bush. While Ahmadinejad foolishly questions the Holocaust, he has never ever - not once - called for the destruction of Israel, but merely for "Zionism" to be "wiped off the page of time". The falsehood you continue to parade here is testamount to how easily fooled you are by a propagandist media desperate for a war with Iran. Please DO SOME RESEARCH.
FuckingxJerryxLewis (Friday 13th of June 2008 01:26:46 PM)
Yeah, and if I were to call for British nationalism to be wiped out, wouldn't you take that as a threat against Britain? Seriously dumbfuck, get a fucking clue.
