I saw this guy in Londonderry, NH. He is a magnificent guitarist. That sound you're hearing is absolutely live, by the way. He uses these wonderful blue Marshall Anniversary amps and coaxes exquisite sounds from them. Extraordinary player and a formidable band. He's shown here playing his own Gibson "Johnny A Signature" guitar too.

I think this is very cool playing .love it!
PLEASE go to my favorites (I only have 3) click on SUBURBAN GUY ROCKIN OUT
he is self-taught, really feels what he plays and improvises his songs as he goes along (the other 2 favorites are him also ARIEL (awesome) and ARIEL SIMANTOV (double awesome) pls view comment and rate them as we think he deserves recognition. thanks everyone!

i was a bartender and rang a bell when i got big tips -- the band gave me a big tip -- so i wouldn't ring the bell for awhile --
maybe people should only drive big thousand pound machinery (cars) and talk on their cell phones..... Found this CD in the library and was pleasantly amused -- good stuff!!!!
rock on ...........

Johnnys great I've seen him twice at the Iron Horse in Northampton, Ma
he is kinda an ass though he stopped playing in the middle of his show because someones phone went off and he completely bashed this poor guy

I saw him at the Iron Horse on the 18th. I remember him talking about the cell phone though I didn't think he was being an ass but maybe more of a wise guy.
I talked to him after his show for some time and didn't come off with a bad impression of him. That was the first time I've seen him play and meet him.
I brought a '58 Les Paul for him to sign.

I wanted to bring my Johnny A. signature guitar in for him to sign and he emailed me before the show and told me that he didn't like signing guitars so instead he signed my certificate of authenticity.
GuitarAficionado1 (Wednesday 6th of August 2008 12:54:37 PM)
I emailed his promoter before the show and he told me it wouldn't be a problem to bring the guitar. I brought it to Johnny and he stated the same thing as you for fear of devaluing the guitar but he would sign it I wanted him to. We talked about my 58 LP for a while. Eventually he convinced me not to have it signed. I was on the fence about having it signed anyway for the same reason he stated before bringing it to the show. He did make me an offer on it but I said it wasn't for sale.
