I actually like the books, but the movies were awesome. I admit the books get mundane at some points. The only part i got a little tired with the books is when the ring was destroyed. I mean it is done, the story should be over, but this happens like a little past the halfway part of the book!! Then we go all the way back to the shire and the hobbits battle Sauraman . I mean this was so unnecessary, thats the only real complaint I had. Then the movies ending could have been shorter.

good point, but that south-park went over board. I know it is animated but I do not need those visuals

I agree with you. Too bad people focus on what he's done wrong, instead of actually realizing how well he's done. It's always easy to follow the goddamn flock. Nowadays, people have to think, not follow. Orelse our world's dead already. And I think it is. Psh. BTW, the cinematographic adaptation of the LotR SUCKS ASS. ANYONE who's read the books know what I'm talking about !

I was bored by the books. Whether you like the films or not, you can't deny that a hell of a lot of effort was put into creating a believable world and drama.

The sad thing is: I'm afraid you're right and this is what WOULD have happened to Tolkien's great novel if G.Lucase had been allowed to "adapt" it for the big screen... Just look what he did to his own movies (the classics) because of sheer greed. Nobody knew Peter Jackson before LOTR but 10 minutes into "The Fellowship" it was clear that he'd blow George Lucas out of the water. Lucas' new trilogy proves that he's too dumb to direct and too douchebag to realize he's a laughingstock now...

I actually like episode 1 the phantom menace, only bad thing there is jar jar. but clone wars and rots sucks, its all revolved around a fag becomming super evil because he cant handle luxury problems. it takes more than a few asslicks from an old pedo to turn a whiny emo fag into a ruthless sociopath that strangles people who disagrees with him and blows up the planet of people who are witholding information
