Back

A "enormous" financial windfall for Ian when CR became the theme song for The Drew Carey Show. Here is Mr. Hunter's version.

His looks haven't changed. Unlike, say, Peter Frampton, who lost his hair. So, is it a wig?

I was a fan of Ian Hunter back when he released his first Mott the Hoople LP. Great tunes!

Were not the rock N roll capital just because of the hall of fame. we also invented the term rock N roll, Many great's come from cleveland, And you never really played a show unless it was in cleveland. Best Fans Best vibe Best city for rock n roll.

i know what you mean, but detroit didn't take specifically to ian hunter like cleveland did. so there it is.

yes, it's an ode to freed, but it's also a record of the early punk scene which started in blue collar cities like cleveland, not nyc or london. after all the song was written in 1978 & came out in 1979 & he was likely thinking about it long before that.

He sounds old. I'll stick to listening to the song on The Drew Carey show :)

My 12 year old son thinks the "Presidents of the America" version of "Cleveland Rocks" is the anthem. Thank you Ian because the only way I can connect to him these days is through music. He refuses to listen to me about school work and girls. I play bass so the only way we connect is through music.
