This special montage is a tribute to the most unique 15 year partnership of Carolyn Scott and her beloved Golden Retriever, Rookie. Arguably, the most famous canine freestyle team in the world, Carolyn and Rookie's love for one another has been cheering millions through the many clips that have circulated over YouTube since Dave Mintzer originally digitalized the famous routine from a videotape Carolyn had provided us several years ago. Little did we know that our posting of that video would bring so much joy to so many, actually even bringing soldiers in Iraq to tears. Learn about our nonprofit foundation's documentary film that is based on this special union at http://gottadance.landofpuregold.com . The film celebrates the human-canine bond and how it was critical in their overcoming adversity, given Carolyn's polio and more. It is being produced for fundraising purposes by the Land of PureGold Foundation (http://landofpuregold.com), a 501c3 nonprofit providing cancer treatment grants for working dogs and funding research in comparative oncology, the study of cancers that occur similarly in people and companion animals.

I saved the Grease video years ago and watch it when i need a lift, i am truly sorry to hear of Rookies passing he was the once in a lifetime golden soulmate and the relationship you had together was so very clear to everyone who watched you dance. There is a special place in heaven where Rookie waits patiently for his momma and the music to start......

I am so sorry to hear about Rookie passing away. I saved the Grease video to my computer a couple years ago and played it every time I needed a lift in life. What a dog!! Or should I say "Friend".

what an amazing thing corolyn and rookie have done....ya'll have brought smiles and tears to so many faces...rookie will be missed, but all dogs go to heaven

Oh wow, I didn't know Rookie had died. I know Caroline will be sad and lost with Rookie gone, but he was a great dog and I know Caroline will find comfort in his peace. GiantPaws.

Oh geez, I started balling after watching the greece performance and reading Rookie passed away last week. we too are golden lovers. So sorry, and we will celebrate his life.

I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Rookie. He and Carolyn have truely been my inspiration in the hope of love for years. A sad day indeed. I know I will remember him and Carolyn always. Thank you so much for posting this tribute to the greatest freestylists ever.
