There is plenty of good music now if you look for it. Even back then this stuff didn't top the charts. In 1991-92, there were #1 songs by the likes of Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, C&C Music Factory, Gloria Estefan, Wilson Phillips, Am Grant, Paula Abdul, Color Me Badd, Marky Mark, Michael Bolton, and Right Said Fred. However, living in the past isn't so bad, because there is always great music to discover that you might have overlooked or not been around for.

i love nirvana but they certainly overshadowed true grunge like mother love bone, mudhoney, green river and soundgarden. it was good shit like this that shouldve taken the credit for it

i agree Dude rock is diffrent im tired of jonas brothers and chiodos and shit like that toping the charts. and mtv is nnow ruled by niggers we have to live in the past for good music like this and pearl jam,alice in chains and many other great American bands.

nirvana did seem to get most of the credit for grunge as far as mainstream america goes but most people have shitty taste in music anyway, fuck pop charts. jonas brothers is #1 on the chart right now, fuck that. MTV killed it off like every other form of good music by playing one band/song from a genre entirely too much. nirvana wasn't all trash but very much overplayed, the other bands deserve more credit. nirvana was mostly a downer band and all the others rocked a lot harder than they did.

the big ones of grunge SOUNDGARDEN, MOTHER LOVE BONE, PEARL JAM, ALICE IN CHAINS, and the project dedicated to ANDREW WOOD , TEMPLE OF THE DOG ... nirvana is trash they have good music but hell it's really fucking overrated everybody knows that ...

The overrated ones are Pearl Jam... but this is only my opinion.
