You got it wrong. Hip-Hop was the lifestyle, which was lived with colour, and rap was a part of it. Hip-hop now is all the same, living in a grey blob, everything's so unimaginative and unoriginal, it's stupid.

Rap's so watered down right now, they don't even talk about drugs and violence. They play it safe, which is something I don't like, I liked it better when Hip-Hop was something GOOD to listen to, not to "jam omgz!" to.

It's a matter of opinion. I'm sure old rockers think metal doesn't go past Led Zepellin etc but times change. If people left music when it was at it's best we wouldn't have any music would we?
