Randy Pausch Last Lecture: Achieving Your Childhood Dreams

Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy Pausch, who is dying from pancreatic cancer, gave his last lecture at the university Sept. 18, 2007, before a packed McConomy Auditorium. Life is about living it to the best of your ability. But when you count your accolades at the end of it and wave them about like a flag then you have defeated your purpose. Fred Rogers is an example of true success. He died with as much grace as he lived it. His success was his zen-like approach to it. I was witness to Pausch making a "small" man feel smaller and without purpose because he didn't live it as Pausch did. Therefore, I do not see Pausch as a hero. Sorry if I offend.

That sucks man=/ What I got out of the lecture was that its good to for fill your childhood dreams, but it feels better to help others carry out theirs. In doing good you can receive a greater gift. P.S If she saw this and only thought about herself then she needs to watch it again.
