I think you've got a bit confused. I looked this up on Wikipeida. The song is based on a tradtional song The Willow Garden where two lovers are out in the garden and he poison's her. Rose Connely or somthing like that. Look it up and you'll see.

This is an INCREDIBLE song! Nick Cave is a friggin' genius! I was shocked, though, by Kylie Minogue. I had never realized how talented she actually is. All I ever heard from her was that souless, commercial, bubblegum pop crap.
