The airplane scene was the best scene in Superman Returns, even though the ending was kinda sad when hes getting his assed tossed around by Lex. I can't wait until the new movie comes out, I heard it was going to be called Man of Steel.

Chicago was the backdrop for the Nolan movies. Both Gotham and Metropolis were inspired by NYC. That's actually where both characters orignally were. The mythical cities were created later.

You ever notice that the Statue of Liberty is in Metropolis in the Old Superman Movies, and the Statue of Liberty is in Gotham City in the Tim Burton Batman movies. It's because DC said that Metropolis is supposed to represent NYC during the day and Gotham represents NYC at night.
