Have you ever done NPT threading? We've been going through taps like socks. $28.00 per and they're good for tapping 4 holes into 4140 HT. I'm wondering if thread milling a 3/8 NPT would save us some money.

NPT threading can be done with these thread mills, they are made from micrograin carbide so they will definately save you money.
