The way i see it, Star Trek-has advanced technology Star Wars- ten times larger ships than star trek and a lot more firepower. But borg would eventually adapt to any of the empire's weaponry

1. ISD's have more firepower because they can slag entire planetary surfaces. 2. They have more powerful shields rewatch this video worf shits his pants when the instrument panel shows a firepower of 400gw. 1 turbolasers packs 200GT of firepower and ISD's can take barrages by entire fleets AND several dozen fighters at once. 3. They're faster the ISD can cross the galaxy in a WEEK as opposed to voyager's estimated 70 YEARS to cross the delta quadrant. The borg, one word Ion canons.

the empire would be able to occupy territory without engaging starfleet in a major battle, since under peacetime, they don't have their ships arrayed in defensive fleets above earth or any other world, they might have a handfull in and around spacedock which could be destroyed by a single broadside from an ISD. so the Empire would take all the federation main worlds before Starfleet's more distant ships across neutral zones and demilitarized zones and DS9etc even knew what was happening.
