Dude, i love making videos, and my parents bought me a 1500 dollar mac JUST for the freaking video editing program!! And i looked at it, and it's a total duche! I use WMM now and was totally looking forwardt to new features and stuff, i checked it out, and not even a timeline! IT was like stepping into a forign country or something, i was so lost! So, you're saying it IS possible to get the timeline even though you're using the newer software? please reply, i'm in desperate need. Thanks!! :)

I know how you feel. I hate iMovie '08. I use FCE as my main video editing software, but I use iMovie '08 on occasion.

Imovie '08 stinks!! it is needlessly complicated. Has no effects at all and gives you a headache!! Stinks!!!

Lern2Cinelerra. It's opensource, compressed it tar.gz so you can install through terminal, and it's the free equivalent of finalcut or Vegas. Oh btw, Linux ftw. I may get macbook to take along with me some places, but Linux is my main stuff :3.

iMovie ' 08 is great. i put movies together easily and can edit them quickly and efficiently. If your looking for more get Final Cut Express

you're right!! I had my hard drive replaced so I lost my iMovie HD 6 :(( Now I have only iMovie '08 and it sucks!! (btw I don't have iLife '08 so I can't get iMovie HD 6 back... that TOTALLY sucks!!) :D:D:D
