Generation Chickenhawk: With The College Republicans

Back

Max Blumenthal takes us on a hilarious and shocking tour of the College Republican National Convention, where the GOP's next generation cheer on the war in Iraq, then make sorry excuses for why they can't serve. Also featuring Tom DeLay, brainwashed evangelical youth, and moving interpretive dance by Blumenthal.

I have lost all respect for Republicans now. They tried to block the same day voter registration and vote policy in Ohio. If they truly believe that America is so worth fighting for, that we go to Iraq to "fight for our freedoms", why can't they let American citizens vote? It because they know most will vote against them. There is absolutely no reason to block any policy or legislation that makes voting easier. It unpatriotic and un-American.

This one was awesome! I gotta pay respect to the high school kid who acknowledged everyone has curiosity and inclinations, but chooses not to act on it. Far better than a Fred Phelps answer.

I bet the democrats aren't going to war not because they are against it, but because they are afraid. Come on, they're kids, they're scared. I'm sure if the liberal kids ever supported a war, they wouldn't enlist too. War is a scary thing

see now, righties like adudefromNY here will stand behind their goverment and party LIES, his excuse for these pointless wars are simple that "we're afraid" to go kill 100,000 iraqis and sacrifice 4000 of the men and women in uniform... What a narrowminded response in defense of the neocon agenda.

I tell you one thing, if the draft ever comes back, and it will (though I oppose it), these Republican yuppies should be the first ones to go. As a former combat soldier who saw my friends get slaughtered in Iraq, I couldn't give a rat's ass if these chickenhawk cowards came back without their arms or legs, like so many guys I know. What goes around comes around. Seven of my best friends are dead while these cocksuckers "think about" enlisting. Piss on them and this war of lies.

Stow that shit you fucking pogue. You know damn well you can't have a democratic society where only those who fight can be for a war. The only result that could possibly have is for you to milk a paycheck without ever having to do your job, is that your real goal? You made a conscious decision just like your (and my) friends KIA. So be a man about it, and stop disrespecting the sacrifices of the ALL VOLUNTEER, and world's finest, United States military.

We care far more than Democrats. We want people to be successful based on their own merits, efforts, desires and ability to become the best they can be. Democrats want to hand people a living, and expect a vote in return. Being a Democrat is slavery. Who wants to live on what government will give you? I'd rather live on what my parameters of success and efforts to achieve it will bring to me. When you grow up and start paying taxes, you'll understand...

Liberals never grow up.
