I have nearly all of the EA NASCAR games starting with 98. Through the years not only have the graphics changed but also the realism. If for some chance you dont think that these games are challenging, perhaps you should check your assist levels... I personally play with zero assists and race a minimum of 50%... this not only puts pitstops into the equation but allows for the game to mimic true car physics. The car WILL change and you WILL have to keep up with it or you WILL lose.

NASCAR 2003 by Papyrus. If it's good enough for Earnhardt Jr, Bowyer, Hamlin, and about two dozen other guys that call it "as close to the real thing as possible" then it's good enough for me.
Earnhardt plays the game all the time to "study" for his next race. Hamilin said NR2003 was behind his success in NASCAR.
Pony up the money for the game, download all the latest cars and tracks FOR FREE!
This NASCAR 09 is just a game.

Exactly
this game is disappointing and has gotten worse over the years. No manufacturers on the COT"s is stupid.
I prefer Nascar racing 2003, better graphics,
and go download COT carsets mod with extra paint schemes, hell somebody already made Jeff Gordon s 2009 firestorm paint scheme.

Why is that none of the Indy guys (F1) are doing very well in NASCAR then.....Must take a little more talent than you think!

your forgetting two things...
1 - Indy cars are not F1 cars. they have similar body shape i agree but that is just the generic open-wheeled racing design in the modern day. F1, F2, F3, the list goes on and so on... they all have the same generic design but are nowhere near the same category of cars.
2 - the skill i was talking about and highlighted on many occassions in my post last week referred to the difficulty of the track. go compare the indy 500 track to say hmmmm MONACO.

I think he was refering to Formula 1 drivers and Indy drivers that are not nearly as good in NASCAR as thier more "simple" fellow racers. Juan Pablo Montoya is the only one of them with a win, and that was on a road course.
NASCAR is 200MPH inches away on the sides, and touching bumpers. F1 cars make 12-15 passes in a race. At Talladega the record for lead changes is over 70. Formula 1 cars tap somebody and thier broken.
No thanks. Rubbing is racing.
