Acid attack raises women's rights issue in Sudan - 08 Mar 08

March 8 is International Women's Day and the treatment of women in conflict zones is just one of the day's key issues. Sanaa is from Sudan. She was forced into marriage and was severely disfigured after acid was thrown at her face on her husband's instruction.

This is sooo sad. Too many problems in Sudan, much of it is due to loss of identity in the North. I my self is from the north as a Sudanese Nubian, and many are being forced to leave their culture and adopt these horrible extreme arabized menality. When did become bad to be proud to be African, Sudanese, Nubian, Kush, Nuer, Fur, Dinka...u tell me. We in Sudan need to help our country, and stop thinking in this colonization mentality

Muhammad had exhorted the Muslims to kill infidels (Jews, Christians, and other non-muslims) wherever the Muslims find them and Sudanese Imams of today have used these said verses during public prayers where Muslims are gathered together in Mosques -- Suras 2:190-193, 2:216, 4:76, 5:32-36, 7:96-99, 8:12-14, 8:39, 8:59, 8:65, 9:5, 9:14, 9:23-29, 9:38-41, 9:123, 47:4, 47:35, 61:4, and 66:9. NOTE: fight = kill in arabic in old translations. THIS IS THE CAUSE OF DARFUR MASSACRE IN SUDAN.
