cheers for this. a friend had asked me to learn this on fiddle (for him to play along on banjo). couldn't find the sheet music for it - your version has given me all i need to get it sorted, thank you. great playing by the way, do you go to any of the uk bluegrass or old time festivals?

Thanks Toby - glad to be of assistance! I tend to go to the more mainstream folk festivals (we just got back from Cambridge - which was fantastic) as I'm interested in lots of different traditions. I notice from your profile you're in North Cornwall. We're camping near Bude in August - any good sessions locally? John

Hi, it's one of those modal 'mountain minor' tunes. If you're after a key signature it would be Am. Your starting note is open A. Happy fiddling!
