A Ford dealer body shop damaged both rocker panels on a NEW van while doing a front end repair and these incompetent SOBs said nothing. When confronted about their negligence they blamed it on the new lift they installed - which proved they knew what had happened. Many body shops and dealers are scammers and rip off artists. The hood and fender on this van (dealer repair) lost the shine after 2 years. I fixed a bumper on an escort for $20 - after collecting $720 from the insurance company.

I've been doing this type of home garage work for years to avoid the incompetence and ripoffs very common with the "professionals", many of whom do not care what their handywork will look like next year when the rust returns and their paint dulls. I've repaired vinyl roof rust holes (near opera windows) that never returned, after the "pros" screwed up and the rust came back. I've also prepped my cars for spraying by pros who know what they are doing, but they don't come cheap.

from what I saw the tape line was on the door gap.......

why didnt you guys show the WICKED tape line that method would have left behind because you taped it off in the middle of the flare? The reason the video stoped before they unmasked the vehicle is because the tape line would have made viewers sick. Think about it you added 3 new layers (primer, paint, &clear) I guess if you dont care that everyone knows you did this in your garage and you really dont care what it looks like, then go for it. But as for this Auto body technition, Ill do it right.

butcher work is what this is, the paint the use is crap, anything that comes from a poof can, is junk, has no hardeners or duarbulity, and will wipe right off with gasoline ROFL....

yea but body shop works for big money, they probably fix ur car the last day. or the first day and just let it sit there for the rest of the week.

yea that makes sense : the shop orders and pays for parts , pays the tech, pays for paint and material and then just let the car sit there .....why? believe me the shop wants to get paid . completed cars don't just sit there .
