and you think wooten never practised? he started bass like at 3 and no one ever saw him not carrying his bass with him. anyway, both styles are completely different so there's no use trying to compare them. I couldn't decide which one is the best, because even if i prefer funk to metal and i think that wooten has the best technique, i think cliff's style is really attractive and musical. i would say that wooten is more focused on rythm and cliff on melody.

I'm not saying that cliff was better than victor, but i think he would be if he had lived today. you have to remember that cliff practiced more than 8 hours nearly EVERY day

ever heard cliff play? i mean this victor here sure is talented, but cliff was a fucking geneous. listen to (Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth or the other live bass solos that he did both in metallica and in trauma.
