Why Islamists win elections?

This is a video project which attempts to explain why whenever Islamists are given a chance, they win popular elections by wide margins. The project will continue focusing on different Islamist movements in different parts of the world. This one briefly looks at Egypt, Hamas (in Palestine) and a comparison between Musharraf of Pakistan and Ahmadinejad of Iran.

for your information, moderate Muslims in Algeria have been slayered by (militant) Islamists for years. They were sick of it and threw them out. Now, it seems that the GIA is starting to re-emerge again. A religion where the fringe kills the mainstream is doomed.

economy grew my brother...but what we are overlooking is that we also got the worse rationing crisis, Energy crisis , environmental security crisis EVER in the history of Pakistan...u believe it or not i supported musharraf when he took over..i casted vote in his favour when he conducted refrendom..but that was before he decided to make pakistan the ally of USA for the FAKE "war on terror".

export increased and so did imports...independent media and freedom of speech is a good because we are living in the era of a MEDIA WARFARE rather than BATTLEFIELD WARFARE...BUT...theres a limit of FREEDOM too. personally i feel disgusted by so many programs and channels in Pakistan flourished during musharraf regime and thriving on pretty much non existent censor policies.

i agree with that...the growth rate was high there is no denying that...and i really acknowledge that...but theres always a dark side to everythign...to this economic growth the dark side is a question is "AT WHAT COST?"...at the cost of inflation and a middle class people struggling to make ends meat? at the cost of alliance with USA and destabilising the internal environment of Pakistan...7% groeth is very fancy brother but i believe people of Pakistan have PAID for it.
