What is the opinion of tractor companies push loading?

it aint necessary, Ive seen John deere tractors pull two of those scrapers and both get loaded up just fine. just cant take so much out of a small area but if you dont try to get a quick fill in the same area each time your sweet.

AWSOME CUMMINS POWER!!

Yes the hitch weight has been lowered but to keep it in the acceptable weight transfer range you should use the tractor hitch that K-Tec has designed.

warkly, so you current new hitch on your 3100 is less than what it used to be? And it's fine for my 450?

I purchased a KTec 3100 last year after pulling tandem Reynolds and Ashland's the KTec is far superior to both and I have to say I do not fell I will ever pull tandems again based on our current production. Not only has the wear and tear been reduced on the tractor, it is much easier to maintain only one scraper. In comparison specifically to a tandem setup, we are able to load/unload faster and easier--with the faster cycle time we are more productive.

It is true that the first few 3100's that were built had too much hitch weight, we changed the design to correct this issue. With the K-Tec hitch and the current design of scrapers we fall within the acceptable weight transfers.

i have pulled all scrapers and i want to let you guys know what an impressive job you have done. i know that the 1225 through 3100 will load way easier than my miskins and ashlands. i disagree about axle issues, because when you are trying to pull two 18 yard scrapers, i feel it is way more wearandtear on tractor than one larger bowl, because you are hauling all that weight all the time. my cycle time and productivity is up with one ktec verse my other tandem bowls. fuel is down 4 gal an hour

How do you explain the 34,800lbs of transfer weight onto the rear axle of the tractor. We had a linear hanging scale mounted onto a excavator hooked directly onto your hitch pin of a fully loaded 3100. Underslung Hitch?? All tractors STX TJ JD have long drawbars. My Case dealer told me the STX allowable weight 21,000 lbs. your 3100 with 2500lb dirt + scraper weight at 25% transfer weight is 29,400 lbs. 4 tons more than warranty allows for new tractors.

Actually the way these are hooked up the weight on the back axle of the tractor is less then the 18 yrd pans, these scrapers have an underslung hitch that hooks on in front of the rear axle
