Novint Falcon Haptics Controller Could Be Wii 2.0

Back

Videogames and force feedback have been fair-weather friends for years, from motorized steering wheels that go spastic when you slam into a wall, to entire seats that tilt and lurch as your F-16 banks out of harm's way. But playing with the Novint Falcon feels like nothing you've tried before. The price has come down. If you shop smart you can pick it up for $135. I'm surprised that many gamers don't consider this worth it, but I guess they don't realize that this kind of technology ordinarily costs tens of thousands of dollars. Yeah, it looks a little awkward, but you should have a place to rest your elbow, and you can do 4 hour gaming sessions no problem. The pistol grip is better, and I'm hoping to see more ergonomic grips for other applications in the near future.

Or if you really like the game you'll build up muscles, which will be good for you, and fatigue won't be a problem anymore. Plus, without that, it'd limit how many hours people spend playing video games, which would probably be good for them even if they didn't agree. ^_^

I was expecting more, not impressed.

Yeah, I'm not that impressed either, though this one was better than the last thing I just watched about it - it made me slightly more interested in it. The stuff about the games though, that was kind of lame. I'd like real stuff to play.
