Stump - Buffalo

Back

A promo video for the song Buffalo by the band Stump First time I heard about Stump was in 1990. Mike Patton mentioned A Fierce Pancake as one of his favourite albums of the past year in a 'best of' list in an issue of Metal Maniacs. Also mentioned was Ozma by the Melvins and Wrong by Nomeansno, among others. A couple of years later, I saw the video for Buffalo on Much Music. My reaction was "Hey, it's that band!!!" A couple more years later, I made friends with some people who were confessed Stump fanatics. I was given A Fierce Pancake to listen to and the rest is history.

This is talent in a completely different way. No one else would be able to write this stuff.

The part when the singer eats the fish is fucking funny. I really like this song through.

I'm sorry, but there's a difference between "experimental" and "shit." This is obnoxious.

NEVER! Idk about you, but most experimental music is obnoxious. Today Is The Day, Carnival in Coal, anything with Mike Patton in it, Meshuggah, Dog Fashion Disco/Polkadot Cadaver, and the like are not all too accessible either.

I don't know, I found Meshuggah pretty accessible.

Well,post-Chaosphere is when they get really experimental. Obzen is kinda an amalgamation of all their albums, so that one isn't as "out-there". Still excellent though.
