Bird strike!

Back



Some shots of what happens when birds take a dislike to each other in flight. It's fascinating how in some of the shots the smaller bird (a falcon called a hobby) makes a half-roll onto its back then rights itself just before knocking the larger bird (a buzzard) out of the sky.

I don't profess to be an expert on raptors, but I can guarantee you that neither of these birds are Peregrine Falcons. Peregrine Falcons have yellow feet and yellow rings around their eyes, which neither of these birds have. I'm a huge Peregrine fan because of the birds we have here in Rochester. They rule the skies with iron talons. :-)

Oneworldguy :You may be right. I was just going by what I was told someone may have misspoken or I may have misheard or misunderstood what they said. I concede you are probably right and more of probably more of an authority on this matter.
