Jesus Camp 1of 9

Back

The first part of the movie Jesus Camp. Jesus Camp follows several young children as they prepare to attend a summer camp where the kids will get their daily dose of evangelical Christianity. Becky Fischer works at the camp, which is named Kids on Fire. Through interviews with Fischer, the children, and others, Jesus Camp illustrates the unswerving belief of the faithful. A housewife and homeschooling mother tells her son that creationism has all the answers. Footage from inside the camp shows young children weeping and wailing as they promise to stop their sinning. Child after child is driven to tears. Juxtapose these scenes with clips from a more moderate Christian radio host (who is appalled by such tactics), and Jesus Camp seems to pose a clear question: are these children being brainwashed?

The sad truth is, if these kids had brown skin and spoke anything other than english, we'd have bombed them twice by now. We are creating our own zealots and mudjahadeen. So, how are really any different from them if this is what we are considering "normal". And so many do.

The fact is I have every reason and every right to believe in Jesus Christ and hell. Jesus Christ saved my life and radically transformed my life and millions of others. Right now I am planning to go to Africa where the message of Christ is changing lives there too. Evil was when I was unsaved, proud, addicted to porn, selfish and thought I was God. As a former Atheist I am troubled that so many people are not experiencing the things and witnessing the things I have. Come to Christ. Its awesome.

the fact is that you have no reason to believe in christianity over any other religion. and do you really believe that people deserve eternal torment just because they didn't believe christ was divine? they could have followed all his teachings, but still they should go to hell just for not believing in god? you are evil if you believe that anybody deserves hell for something like that.

Its so amazing how the guilty always point out others flaws first. So maybe she is right. Because we each have our sins and she admits she is overweight and is trying to loose weight. Tho hypocrite first remove the plank from your own eye before you can remove the speck from your brothers eye. And people say Christians are judgmental..HA!!

Yes so do those who practice witchcraft. I guess the true test is who lays hold of that person soul when they die. We will have to wait to find out. If nothing happens were dead anyway. But what I believe is that Muhammad can't save anyone, Buddah can't, neither can earth wind or fire, I am not coming back as a tree or dog. And like the one guy said yes smoking pot will make you feel the same way but again who is in control? God or Satan?

according to christians they're going to be raptured anyway, so they won't need an army when the end of days comes, so they should all stfu and leave us smart people alone. don't pray in my school, and i won't think in your church.
