Steep San Diego Takeoff - United 757

Back

Using http://youtube.com/watch?v=67cLAOQA1BA for reference (sorry for poor quality!), compare terminals and other landmarks to see how quick the acceleration and how steep the takeoff were. Even with the displaced threshold, rotating at the piano keys is rare! United 757 to Denver.

Great footage but nothing unusual to me. Full power and rolling for 20 seconds... Like other planes do. The ascent angle is pretty steep but common for the 757. Maybe 20-25° at its max. I love those 757.

All but 3 of United's 757's were delivered as PW2037, but I think they can change the power rating to PW2040 with software.
