Nanotechnology
BackNanotechnology refers broadly to a field of applied science and technology whose unifying theme is the control of matter on the atomic and molecular scale, normally 1 to 100 nanometers, and the fabrication of devices within that size range. It is a highly multidisciplinary field, drawing from fields such as applied physics, materials science, interface and colloid science, device physics, supramolecular chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering. Much speculation exists as to what new science and technology may result from these lines of research. Nanotechnology can be seen as an extension of existing sciences into the nanoscale, or as a recasting of existing sciences using a newer, more modern term. link - http://www.crnano.org/index.html

also quite frankly a bollocks perspective, the truth thus can be seen in the well known statement 'the road to hell, is pathed with good intentions'... as I am on that point, an irreligious example would be the millions that have died for the greatest utopia of them all, Communism

I'd say your right to an extent.. but then what do you mean by 'authorized', who was authorized, the religious authorized the religious? I'd find it a more interesting point in a way that the religious where looking for authorization to drop the a-bomb. If so good point. What the religious do have that is elementry in the capacity to do such thing and very dangerous is the mentality that our view is right, and WE are doing it for the benefit of the world, very dangerous, whether religious or not

can only look at one aspsect at one time
subjectivity in relation to experiment observed
not total realisation of desired effect unknown quantities possible dangers effects on consiousnesson what we know so agreed observation is not definitive known effect of realisation of what is truly happening . can effect growth of knowing into which belief systems are sustained.
we only use something that is already there consiousness cannot be anything but itself if it is not itself it would not be

Science is no different from any religion. That has to be understood. All it is is an interllectual agreement based on popular belief and acceptance, which is of the mind in order to substantiate oneself by opposing 'the other'. In this case 'the christians' are scientists opossition, and the christians who they say 'the scientists' are wrong. THEY BOTH ARE, it's just the same dyfunction that is the cause of all destruction in terms of the human race. And yes, the americans gov. is a religion

You couldn't be more wrong rauryscool.
Scientists have spiritual beliefs as well. My spirituality lies with discovering my world, not trying to blanket it with a single "God did it" explanation.
Religion = no evidence.
Science = better have some fucking evidence, or you can go the fuck home.

Um why swear? Why the fuck? Speak properly or fuck right off

Reido2828, to get my fucking point across, fuck face.

yeah I'd say your right to and extent. Are you a Scientologist.. haha. Just kidding. But it was not the religious that dropped the a-bomb, or that mass murdered the millions of people that were killed in 20 century. I admit that some are nutters (religous) but not half as insane as the collective mind frame that is dedicated to power in the guise of stabiblity and peace (powerful government and their supporting institutions)

Harry S. Truman was a Baptist.
"This is a Christian nation." -- Harry Truman
Harry Truman authorized the dropping of the Atom Bomb.
Only when technology gets in the hands of the religious, does it become dangerous.
