Yeah, but it should be distinguished between, Theirs a big difference. Im sorry, but consensual sex and rape are two different things. No matter what the law says about "statutory rape".

How can it be rape if it's consensual? If a 15 year old wants to have sex with a 24 year old let them. They're gonna do it anyway so let them do it legally. There are 13 year olds dating 23 year olds for christ sakes

yea people also get registered for a 30 y/o man raping a 15 y/o girl. you basically say u would like to lower the age of consent so rape can be legal? maybe your right, 15 y/o's are goin at it like "jackrabbits", but thats exactly why there are laws to protect those "jackrabbits".

Yea, its really more of a maturity thing, but for some reason society condemns it like its the end of the world. Its pretty much bullshit, 20yo gets together with a 17yo he gets in alot of trouble and has to register as a sex offender. For the rest of his life, he will have problems getting jobs and moving into neighborhoods, shit even picking the kids up from school. All because 10 years ago, he got together with a mature young lady. Its fucked up......

Your saying if your 20 and your GF is 17 its not ok and its the end of the world? Fact is he could become a registered sex offender for it. Its just ridiculous.

Bob? I'm hispanic dude. And I'm not sayin lower it to 10 years old. Maybe I didn't explain myself better. I'm saying lower it to say 15 or 16. You know as well as I do that by that age they're already goin at it like jack rabbits. And they have a tendency to want to try older ppl first.

why would you want to lower the age of consent? im sure buffalo bob will agree with u. and common, were not worried about the "numbers of future generations", were worried about the morals of our society, bob.

For some people, marriage is still paternalistic, i.e. husband is head of family. They see gay marriage as pushing marriage toward being more of a partnership of equals. With more equality, these men could lose power and these women could lose the comfort of being their husbands ward. For some, this is terrifying. A wife might ask: Why is it you are in charge? A husband might ask: Why is your care primarily my responsibility? For many, gay marriage begs these scary questions.

And what proof do you have that all of your claims are true? I believe that being gay is a choice. Mind you I'm saying this as a straight man. Don't you think that as a society that we can get past the whole marraige is between man and woman thing. We already have the numbers and the technology to ensure that future generations will be produced and our populations will remain strong. There are a lot of straight people who want to lower the age of consent as well you know. Myself included.
