No waves from December to March. Monsoons usually start end of May and go until end of October. Lots of good surf then.

I used to work at the resort at the end of this beach (Le Royal Meridien Phuket Yacht Club), and I lived about 3 minutes away. Surfed here almost every day whenever there were waves. Back in 1998-99 I was often the only guy out there. A lot of closeouts, but some nice waves when the wind shifted offshore.
