The underlying intricacies of extreme and chaotic sociological and psychological stimuli Willard was subject to (namely parental ridicule and humiliation, coupled with corrupt mainstream workplace social dynamics) allowed me to relate to this film well. Willard was merely tainted by the evil which every human yields. Therefore, the lesson to be learned here is that the acceptance and embrace of humility is vital; it is the derivative between life and death (both allegorically and literally).
