to put it another way, i havnt trained for this type of endurance for at least 12 years. compaired to my military weight of 155 i feel bulky and slowed down now. i used to do multiple reps of 15 pull-ups, 15 dips, and 15 inverted pushups (upside down)and then run 3 miles. now i can do about 6 pullups, 6 dips, and maybe 1 inverted pushup (on a really good day) i can light a whole lot more than i could back then, but i would consider myself to be less in shape overall now.

Way too bulky? ROFLMAO!!! I'm 235 bud, 11% bodyfat during ON season, and I still do this stuff every weekend with ease (with exception to the handstand pushups of course). It's not about size. Muscles don't weigh your body down if your training is designed to teach them how to function more efficiently, rather than retain protein more efficiently. If you want to do this while keeping your hard earned size, I've got 2 words for you. --Pavel-- --Tsatsouline--. Simple as that.

great vid, and that's definitely the better way to train your muscles for pk than pushing weights ... well done guys, keep it up!!!

That was an awesome video. Very good ways of training to help with Parkour. I loved the gym remark aswell, you guys make it more enjoyable to watch by making it funny. Great work.

the point of training like this, instead of weights, isn't to get big muscles. it's to get strong and firm muscles. which are better in most cases. big muscles are usually more for wrestling, and when you need the body mass. for parkour, if you have that body mass, it makes it harder. so this natural body weight training gives strong and firm muscles, so you can stay slimmer, but yet strong to do all the stunts.

That's not true. Training for hypertrophy (to gain muscle mass, and therefore more strength) does not mean you can't be agile because you're "too bulky". If you start this type of training, you'll build much muscular endurance, barely any strength, and lots of body awareness/agility/proprioception. You'd have the advantage with such a strength base compared to everyone else.
