And yet they do crash and one good example is India against Asia. That is a fact, you have to prove it isn't happening but you have no proof at all. It like you trying to convince me that 2vehicles that just smashed against each other. The reasons they are both crushed you try to explain that: "They are RECURVING and at it's CENTER the outer crust is BUCKLING AND FOLDINGis". It doesn't work that way. Evidence is on the Earth.

And why wouldn't it happen? It's been pushed by million of square miles of mass which forms the India plate? Kinda shows you the force of mother nature doesn't it, eh?

timbot, You believe it because 1.they TOLD YOU to, and 2. That's what it LOOKS LIKE. NOT because there's thousands of square miles of folded BASALTS. Two two inch thick BRICKS shoved together won't buckle the TOP QUARTER INCH OF THE BRICK. That's Physics, BUT if I had a thick rounded piece of car-tire material, SHAPED like Asia/India and I coated it with layers of thick paint. let them dry, and I pushed down to try to flatten the slab of Asia-rubber, the thick paint would buckle RIGHT THERE!

timbot , put a piece of tracing paper on any map and trace a line where you "THINK" the joining of the two is. Now look at India-into Pakistan-into Afganistan-into Iraq. JUST LOOK AT IT! Even IF a continent CRASHED into another CONTINENT (And it CAN'T, because there"s OCEANIC PLATE IN THE WAY. In your mind have the WATER GO AWAY. 7 MILES THICK OF SOLID BASALT!) Say it could....the two would STOP! WHAT (ON EARTH) COULD BUCKLE 30 to 40 MILES THICK of continent? ONLY the outer crust buckles
