It's really not that cheap. Landlords with property in the vicinity of the university usually get triple from students what the house is probably worth. I would bet those kids are paying upwards of $2000/month total for that house. That's alot considering the price of real estate in that region of the country.

Misrepresentation would certainly leave the landlord culpable. However, what about all the issues that would have been clearly visible prior to them renting the unit in the first place? Also, I may have misunderstood this part, but it sounds like the rent is dirt cheap. Usually rent is affected by the condition of the unit. So, did they move into a run down unit with cheap rent and then expect everything to be perfect? I side with the students on part of the issue but not everything..

landofhaterd: I am going to guess that either you are Bill or a slumlord yourself. You are a jerk. ANyone living in a house full of mold could have health problems. THerefore you can be sued or better yet have the house condemned

I hope for possible future tenants' sakes that both of those happen.. That's just unacceptable. Oh, and yeah- landofhatred, you are a whore. I hope to god that you're the result of inbreeding, because i don't believe that i have EVER seen such asinine and illegible rantings. I bet your "mommy and daddy" would be proud. I'm sorry- mommy & uncle-daddy.

If the contract states he is responsible for repairs then take that loser to small claims court for some of your rent back. You better get your deposit back.

I am simply showing people the way I was treated as a tenant trying to get some helping fixing a property that I do not own. Hopefully future tenants will see this before signing a lease and see what they are in for. Instead of attacking me, maybe you should offer to help him or encourage him to own up to his mistakes. Make your own video of how you're improving the place. I would love to be proven wrong about Bill. maybe he is a great guy. I just have never seen it.

it sounds like he's threatening you;/Get off your asses rental tribunal.he said he's gonna raise the rent,is it legal?he seems to follow his own rules.earn your salary for once.I bet u he's a lousy tipper.
