Well, it wasn't really a desert. It was actually a mostly treeless plain, not the sort of desert that has cacti. I know, because I've been to Oklahoma!:)

I beleave where they were sent at the end of Trail of Tears was a veritable dessert. Worthless for the form of farming and living they did in the east.

This video really irritates me! The Cherokee DID NOT live in the desert or in tepees!!! If they wanted to sing about the Cherokees, they should have gone for more authenticity in their video!
