The only problem that i have with her portraits..is that Jesus looks like a white man...so how does that make someone else feel who isnt european american or in societys terms white....I dont want to get caught up in the color issue but i wonder where she recieved her vision of what god is suppose to look like? So if a african/ African america child was to draw GOD would he have dark skin

awesome paintings. yeah i dont think that the experts agree that jesus was a white man. but if we have never met him then we wouldnt know for sure. she says she has seen him.

Can it be that we respond to God in the context of our cultural and national upbringing and as a result we show God in that enlightenment.God will be whatever we see Him/Her to be.God answered Moses in the burning bushes when asked who he was, "I am who I am" (Ex 3:14)

she is destinct in her religion- if you go on her website artakiane then she talks about Jesus, and calls two of her paintings "Father forgive them" and "Prince of Peace".

I saw this on Superhuman and I think she is amazing her paintings are so unlike any other and more life like. She says god tells her to paint and draw and maybe its true because she paints so heavenly god bless you

For those who believe, no explanation is necessary; for those who do not believe, no explanation will suffice. Open you heart to God today and great thing will happen.

I think she's obviously had some religious influence from a very early age despite what her parents say, from either her parents or some other grown up that maybe they don't even know about.

I wouldn't call it religious influence, What I would say is she had an encounter with God. The reality of Jesus is not a religion at all, it is freedom.

But you have to ask yourself, why wont her mother let reporters record her creating a short piece from blank canvas to finish? Her mother claims 'It wouldn't be a fair representation of her talent' but if this truly were a 'gift', why wont footage of Akiane at work be released? Until then, I shall remain skeptical.

Do you not agree that such talent is a gift? Its not like a magic show or anything- she has to work on all her paintings hard like anyone else. I would hate it if anyone recorded me from start to finish painting something, and I competely get what her mum means. She has to do several sketches before she starts any painting. for example, if I draw a quick picture and toss it in the bin, my mum takes it out and sends it to my nan, but I think " thats not fair- I can do better in more time."
