My name is Inigo Montoya. I am your father. Prepare to die.

Holy shit that was really witty, this comment had me laughing for longer than the movie did :)

I almost didn't catch that. I had to read your comment twice to get it. Now I cannot stop laughing.

You forgot all about the screen flashes when the swords hit.

Slight problem (AKA me being a jackass): lightsabers cauterize the wound, so no blood. What you did was excellent, though.

kit, lightsabers generate light. that means they don't cast shadows ... from themselves. They do cast shadows of other objects... Watch Star Wars & tell me what you find? :) Thanks for your ubernerdiness.

rekzkarz, try this experiment: Turn on a lamp with its lampshade removed. Now shine a very bright light on the light bulb, aimed at a distant wall. Does the bulb cast a shadow, even though it is also generating light? Why, yes, yes it does. Any object that blocks light casts a shadow, regardless of whether or not it also generates light. If the light it generates is brighter than the light shining on it, then its light may wash out the shadow, making it less apparent, but it's still there.

ComaLiteJ -- I'll just take your word for it. Seems reasonable.
