The Tom Pryce video that floats around here is a prime example of Italians backing fatal accidents with creepy music.

they steepend the track banking to sustain the speeds we see today. and in 1973 it got even worse, and agan they were getting very close to a 200 mph lap during time trials. cool music. it's like 60's Get Smart stuff. i'm sure he was killed upon impact...internal injuries from rapid (instant) deceleration, causes tremendous g-forces on the internal organs...a dislocated aeorta like lady Di

Malloy actually lived 2 or 3 days after the crash, but my understanding is that he never regained consciousness.

Sunday Morning, 14th may, he turned in a lap at 186mph and was going into the 3rd Turn when he lost control. He had no time to apply the brakes and the Thermo King Eagle veered right and crashed almost head-on into the wall. There were skid marks for 75 feet and car parts scattered 150 yards away. It took more than 10 minutes to extricate Malloy, unconscious, fom the car. He had head injuries, fractures of both legs and hips, a broken right arm, and second-degree burns on his hands and feet.
