both intrument is called "tambur" but they are playing in different ways as you see. tunings are the same for both of them.

Elbette büyük sanatçılar çıkarmış bir aileden gelince böyle oluyor. Rahmetlinin babası Kemal Batanay da hattatı. Dedesi Tanburi Cemil ve amcası Mesut Cemil üstadlardır. Şu dinlediğim eserde bütün bunların etkisini hissedebiliyorum.
