Rose-tinted glasses could be the best thing to wear when riding a Harley so that the faults are not so visable.I rode a Harley once , and thank you , once was enough .I will stick with my dear BMW. I ride all year round ,but I never see a Harley being ridden when it rains, why ?

Indian motorcycles were being ridden before Harley before any Harley was ever made. Indian invented many new things , Harley often copied them.

Indian bikes look great too. I don't believe they ever figured out the supply/demand concept with their pricing and marketing plans ($30,000+). HD has done an exceptional job on these, to include their website. Indian's website is terrible and provides no great reasons to "want them". I'm in the Dallas area and have never seen anybody selling them retail. It's too bad, because they do make great looking bikes!

You might as well include Henderson Excelsior then. Gorgeous bikes "for the time period". They even nabbed the earlier police contracts. Don't know the details, but I beleive the great depression killed them, like many others.

Too true! The douchebags who bash Harley Davidson's are the preppy brats that are sooo proud of thier little Ninja 250. Or assholes that simply can't afford a real piece of American power, so they ride their Honda's and call all Harley owners "posers."

To all harley haters: Just pick up one and ride it, then go to one of the rally. Then you will find yourself not being able to live without it.
