just heard Tally Ho for the first time last week...and have checked out their other stuff to make sure it wasnt a one-off wow! I'm actually gonna buy their anthology and not download it - thats how much i like it.

they are SO underrated man! if you can find an e.p. of theirs released in the late 80's called 'In-A-Live' then you've struck gold. i've got a knackered old vinyl copy which got played to within an inch of its life! this tune is on there along with fish, flowers, point that thing somewhere else, whatever i do is right...boy, the soundtrack to my youth right there...the version of Anything Could Happen is just amazing - ragged, sloppy, unrehearsed but utterly, utterly wonderful. great post!

An essential song. Saw Lo Ya Tengo play this live years ago when the signer was touring with them. probably only ten or so of us knew the song but I bet it was a magical moment for each of us.
