Were you there? Did some of the audience really boo? I knew they played as the opening act, but I didn't hear about any booing or things of the sort. But tell me what you know. The Boy/October era of U2 is my era.

U2 was considered an opening act at the time and I don't recall any boo-ing whatsoever for any of the acts. What I can't believe in retrospect is that a music feind friend who was there with me at the time told me right before they went on that he'd seen them before and they were boring! I'd love to have a conversation with him today about how U2 turned out!

I was there and vividly remember that crazy s.o.b. climbing the scaffolding. That was probably the highlight of a memorial festival. Hard to believe it's been 25 years since it all took place.
