What? 75%? You do realize that you are saying 3 of every 4 teenagers practice self mutilation right? Which is an obvious over statement. I would say 10%, at most, have experimented with this. If you were right, nearly every kid would refuse to wear short sleeves...which isn't the case.

no .. actually, not everyone can relate. this is about cutting.. im a cutter. and you'd never understand. its in-explainable. it has nothing to do with beng messed up by the way.

that's like saying an alchoholic can't relate to a pill popper. addict's are addicts, and trauma victims are trauma victims. while the song does specifically mention cutting as a means of coping, the underlying issues are the sense of selves in these people. Someone may feel the exact way you do, except their choice of self destruction may be drinking, or drugs, or eating disorders, etc. Feelings are the same, the only thing that differs is your reaction to them.

i completely agree. i'm a cutter too and what you said makes total sense. you can't explain it to non-cutters. it doesnt work
