其实最主要的是能让PC运行Mac OS X

but really i saw an interview he had with guy kawasaki or whatever that guy's name was... and that guy was totally biased. i'm sure he'd never even touched vista. he's probably never used anything in his entire life that wasn't an apple product. i've used linux and mac and windows plenty of times, and i'm just not into the whole mac os. i love linux for it's complete openness and i like using windows for gaming and shit but osx has really nothing to attract me... at all...

Yea don't think that I'm 100 percent biased and have never used Windows. My main PC is a custom built Vista x64 machine, but I'm pretty much forced to run Windows since I'm a gamer. I also have a few Macs running OSX. I can't stand Windows it just performs like shit its a total joke. The only reason I'm actually able to run Vista decently is because I have a Quad setup with dual Geforce 8800 GT and 4 gigs of ram. My mac with much less power runs better than my Vista machine.

in the same way any old machine can run a linux os with much less power than it would take to run vista. but the fact of the matter is, vista is the shit. all the developers develop for it. all the manufacturers manufacture for it. but who's on apples side? nobody. they refuse to let anyone work with them. they're way more closed than windows/microsoft.

Believe me, I wish Apple would open their platform just as much as anyone else, and they'll never take on MIcrosoft if they continue in their closed direction, but I hardly think thats a reason to call Vista "better" just because its open source. I do give Microsoft credit for having Windows at least run on so many different configurations and machines.

it's not why vista's better. vista's better because of the simple fact that all the software you need, runs on it with a few exceptions that i've happily never run into, and i use a lot of different softwares. see the reason i've not completely switched over to linux is because of software compatibility and wine doesn't help for shit. i know for a fact that most of my software (including games) will not run on macs and that's why i stick to vista.
