There has been a lot of speculation on who this song is about. But that's all it is; just speculation. Simon refuses to say who it was written about. Sure, Britney fits the song, but so do all the other train wrecks out there.

Well, Justin wrote it, there's a model who resembles Brit in the video, it was released around the time that she was descending into turmoil...not *much* speculation required really.

Actually, Justin didn't write the lyrics, he co-wrote the music. Simon wrote the lyrics. Could it be about Britney? Sure. It could also be about Lindsay or Amy or anyone else in the tabloids at the time. You're reading too much into the video. Why don't you try chilling out and enjoying the song?

I see you repeat this comment regularly. Perhaps people have different interpretations. You don't know who wrote the lyrics or the "song" (as you call it), and nor do I. The point I was making is that there are several fairly obvious references to Britney...and that her ex has a hand in the making, makes it a bit a more obvious. You think what you think (and please don't try and back up your opinion with spurious "facts"), and I think what I think. End.

I have been a fan of Duran Duran since I was barely 9 years old, it is hard to believe that it is 27 years later now and still going strong, and writing and producing some mega tracks, even my kids Yaz, Si and Nik love Duran also, Simon will be 50 real soon, and still look's so like a man in his early thirties to me, brilliant track in case i forget to mention it!?!?
