You all obviously do not know who battlestarvfx is.. its DJ Timecode. Not the fairly known drum and bass timecode, but the one who posts videos on youtube where he plays a record, turns a couple knobs while it plays, and then fades out the volume after the record is already done. None of you, nor Q-Bert, knows what your talking about. Boy, I can't wait for DJ Timecodes scratch setup video.. that will teach you suckers about greatness..

Sorry battlestarvfx, but as a mechanical engineer, I can tell you that adjusting the location of weights on either side can have the same effect if done properly. You are essentially changing the position of the center of gravity with respect to the fixed pivot. As long as you position the C.G. as close to the pivot point, you reduce your moment about the axis due to gravity. The entire mass can be represented as a single point and moved with either the cart or the rear weight.

erm hello, yet again i as well as many others on this page keep pointing out it's Dj Q-Bert showing how to setup for scratching! All scratch Dj's know this method damages records but this is the only way to prevent skip while scratching. When your record breaks you just repace it!!
