If Chavez is a dictator how come most people keep on voting for him? How come capitalist corporations are still allowed to work in Venezuela? How come when you ask questions on common capitalist doctrine you are accused of being a communist/socialist?

Yeh, it really annoys me how chavez has been added to america's "black list". i wonder how long its going to be before american politicians accuse him of supporting terrorism and trying to acquire weapons of mass destruction. id like to point out that venezuala was the first country to send aid to the USA after hurrican katrina

Message me and I will explain why I say all of those things. If you look at the democratic republic link, notice that all of the countries that are democratic republics are contries that have had problems with supression.

so the only 2 choices i have are democracy and dictatorship? btw there basically the same. and elite ruling class controls the population through force and manipulation. and to answer you question i would prefer a totaly free market.

What your describing is oligarchy or plutocracy. The thing thats wrong with many western nations right now is that their trapped in a two party system, the two parties often very similar policies and are funded by the same corporations. So the american and australian systems are more like an oligarchy. But as for your first question, there is no good alternative to democracy.
