Don't be too quick to dismiss the idea. Our military is exhausted from its hopeless mission to bring Jeffersonian democracy to Iraq overnight and they've had Bush as their Commander-in-Chief for eight years: if they saw white people invading, they might get confused and just start shooting each other. And there's the language barrier. The State Department wouldn't be able to find anyone who spoke Canadian and would recommend surrender disguised as extended talks.

dude, in case you havent noticed, we only have one political party over here. reps and dems hold the same philosophy regarding all fundamental functions of government. they simply disagree on very minute details within the same narrow philosophy in order to give the illusion choice, the illusion of democracy.
