grappling is of no use in a real fight like street fighting. ok maybe it's of some use 1on 1 but why not use a quick elbow strike if someone comes to near. MMA sux. 'Nuff said. Peace

Wow you are an idiot. MMA fighters DO use mouth guards and why do you think they hire referees? That's what they do, stop the fight before the athlete gets any serious injury, and a boxer wouldn't stand a chance against a skilled MMA fighter.

and secondly: MMA is about fighting and doing it as effective as possible. who cares how it looks in the eyes of closeminded people like you. If you think that grapling looks gay then it says more about you than about grapling ;) u want a clean fight then go watch ur kungfu movies and leave the REAL martial arts alone

MMA fighters also have mouthguards so whats your point? Yes MMA fighters get punched in the head. but not repeatedly for 12 rounds. in MMA, if u get 2-3 hard hits in the head and u cant defend urself properly for a few seconds, the referee stops the fight. so u wont get the same braindamages like boxers crack all the bones in their body? they tap out before than happens u idiot and look at couture. 44 years old and still fighting. compare him to any average 44year old and say his body is weak
