Actually the flute music is very common in Columbian and Peruvian music. They are playing a lot of indigenous South American Native American melodies.

I met Nick Rhodes in 2005. I got the chance to tell him that I thought So Red The Rose was a masterpiece. He thanked me, and said they had discussed playing songs from it in the future. He was very greatful.
