Ron Paul: A New Hope
Backhttp://www.ronpaul2008.com RON PAUL - PRESIDENT 2008 Congressman Ron Paul is the leading advocate for freedom in our nation's capital. As a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Dr. Paul tirelessly works for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies. He is known among his congressional colleagues and his constituents for his consistent voting record. Dr. Paul never votes for legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution. In the words of former Treasury Secretary William Simon, Dr. Paul is the "one exception to the Gang of 535" on Capitol Hill. He makes it clear that his principles will never be compromised, and they never are." "But he doesnt force his beliefs on anyone." You are very, very wrong. Ron Paul supports creationism in public classrooms, religious vouchers paid for with tax dollars, banning gay marriage, stopping abortion, and limiting judicial review to prevent "legislating from the bench." If Ron Paul's policies were enacted the flood gates are open for states to do everything from creation in public schools to the return of forced prayer to the implementation of mandatory church attendance. Fascist.

Here is where I disagree with you the most... If a satellite catches Osama Bin Laden walking around near some cave in the middle of nowhere in Pakistan, by all means... Kill him.
If the Pakistani's have a crater out in there desert from the bomb we dropped, so be it.

Completely withdrawing from Iraq right away seems to me to be a bad idea. There is sort of a "you break it, you buy it" sense. The Neo-Cons broke it, so the rest of us bought it. Obama is correct in saying that we did not focus enough resources in Afghanistan, and we should focus them there now. Ron Paul is correct when he says we brought September 11th on ourselves, but that is not to say we should halt the search for those responsible. Americans are not ready for Ron Paul, and that is a shame.

finally, you are correct in saying that because you have a foreign policy it doesnt make you neocon. But having and supporting certain foriegn policy views DOES.
The idealistic notion that we can rule with hegemony over the world supporting Israel no matter what makes you a neocon. Supporting regime change for idealistic purposes makes you a neocon.
Obama only prescribes to the neocon agenda, I dont think he is a neocon himself. He is not idealistic like Bush.

huckabee is a religious fascist. Ron Paul is not a religious fascist.
I am an atheist and I support the man. Ron paul himself is incredibly religious-hes a religious whack-job. But he doesnt force his beliefs on anyone.
I dont like his and Barr's view that things like abortion and gay marriage can just be given to the states-thats a cop out.
Obama on the other hand has supported GW bush's fundementalist "faith based initiatives"
Now THATS supporting religious fascism!

McCains foreign policy is more threatening than obamas, however obama has agreed with him on who to threaten.
Obama said "if we have intelligence that Al quada (or bin laden) is in Pakistan and, Musharraf wont act, we will"
This is against international law-you cant just "decide" when you want to enter a coutnry and violate its sovereignty-we dont own the world, and think we can just decide when we want to step in whenever we want to!

he didnt "vote" against Iraq, he just took a position-which is less consequential than an actual vote.
You are so sure about our winning in afghanistan-even the commanding officer there said WE CANNOT WIN
Alexander the Great couldnt win
the British Empire couldnt win
The USSR couldnt win
The US cannot win
No one can win in those hills.
He will not "end" the iraq war.
He will continue funding corporate contracters and our military ("residual force") as well as any force in Kuwait

No he doesn't. He's a religious fascist and only supports the parts of the Constitution that supports his fundamentalist agenda.
Haxxploits (Sunday 12th of October 2008 10:30:22 AM)
Obama's foreign policy has far fewer neo=conservative tendencies than that of John McCain. Remember, he voted against the war in Iraq, and he supports a policy that WILL work in Afghanistan. Military spending will be much less when he gets elected, because he will end the war in Iraq, which costs us 10 billion a month. McCain's foreign policy is far more threatening than Obama's, and he never said he will invade Pakistan. Simply HAVING a foreign policy does not make one Neo=Conservative.
